- Google Calendar data (if you connect your Google account, we access only the data necessary to provide reminder services): calendar events including event title, description, start time, end time, location, attendees, and recurrence patterns. We do not access your Gmail, Google Drive, Contacts, Photos, or any other Google services beyond calendar data.
- Device and usage data (e.g., IP address, device identifiers, browser type, app version, usage logs).
- Payment information (handled by payment processors and app stores; we receive limited billing details such as subscription status and transaction identifiers).
3. How we use information
We use information for purposes such as:
- Providing, maintaining, and improving the Service (including generating reminders, summaries, and other outputs you request).
- Operating account features, authentication, and customer support.
- Communicating with you about service-related messages, security alerts, and product updates.
- Processing payments and managing subscriptions.
- Preventing fraud, abuse, and security incidents and enforcing our Terms.
- Analytics to understand usage and improve performance (subject to your cookie/analytics choices where applicable).

We do not sell personal information. Google user data is never used for advertising purposes or sold to third parties. Data obtained from Google APIs is only used to provide and improve Whacha's core reminder and productivity features.

We may use cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage and pixels) to operate the site, remember preferences, and understand usage. You can manage cookies through your browser/device settings. Some cookies are strictly necessary and cannot be disabled.

11. Google Calendar integration and data use
Whacha integrates with Google Calendar to provide enhanced reminder services. When you choose to connect your Google Calendar:
What Google data we access:
- Google Calendar events: We access your calendar events including title, description, start/end times, location, attendees, and recurrence patterns to send you timely reminders via WhatsApp.
- Calendar list: We access your list of calendars to allow you to select which calendars to sync.
How we use Google Calendar data:
- To read your upcoming calendar events and send you reminder notifications via WhatsApp at times you configure.
- To display your daily/weekly schedule summaries when you request them.
- To provide intelligent reminders based on event details (e.g., travel time, meeting importance).
Important limitations:
- No advertising: Your Google Calendar data is never used for advertising, marketing, or analytics purposes beyond improving Whacha's core functionality.
- No selling or sharing: We do not sell, rent, or share your Google Calendar data with third parties for their own purposes.
- No AI training: Your Google Calendar data is not used to train AI models or shared with AI providers beyond what is necessary to generate your personalized reminders.
- Limited access: We only access Google Calendar data. We do not access your Gmail, Google Drive, Contacts, Photos, or any other Google services.
Your control:
- You can revoke Whacha's access to your Google Calendar at any time through your Google Account permissions page.
- You can also disconnect Google Calendar from within Whacha's settings.
- When you revoke access, we will stop syncing new calendar data and you can request deletion of previously synced data.
Compliance:
Whacha's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. This means we only use your Google data as described in this policy and do not transfer it to others except as necessary to provide the Service, comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition (subject to continued compliance with this policy).
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy and update the "Last updated" date.
